The Rustomjee Building once stood at the intersection of M.A. Jinnah Road and I.I. Chundrigar Road in Karachi's Serai Quarters. Built in 1881 by Parsi businessman Hormusjee Sethji Rustomji, it housed the Customs House and Karachi Municipality until its demolition in 1947. This artwork reimagines the lost structure, capturing its essence through the study of proportions and geometry, as a tribute to a landmark that played a key role in Karachi's commercial past.
The original artwork was a part of Ozair's solo show at Khalikdina Hall, called Karachi's Lost Communities.
