Built between 1912 and 1914, this semi-circular Victorian-style structure was designed by George Wittet, the consulting architect to the Government of Bombay. The building was intended to serve as the permanent offices for Karachi Port Trust and Customs officials after Karachi was declared the chief port of Sindh in 1901. The first official meeting in this landmark building took place on January 12, 1916, marking its historical importance in Karachi's maritime and trade legacy.
