Built in 1906, Khalikdina Hall is a notable library and hall in Karachi, established to promote literary and intellectual pursuits within the Muslim community. Named after Ghulam Hoosain Khalikdina,a prominent merchant and philanthropist,the hall was funded partly by him, with additional support from the Karachi Municipal Corporation. Designed in the Palladian style by Moses Somake, a Lahore-born Iraqi-Jewish architect, the building reflects both architectural elegance and cultural ambition. Khalikdina Hall has served generations of scholars and remains a landmark of learning and heritage in the city.
The original artwork was a part of Ozair's solo show at Khalikdina Hall, called Karachi's Lost Communities.
