The Kanji Munji Building, named after the two daughters of a Hindu trader, reflects Karachi's diverse commercial history. As British cantonments expanded, many Hindu traders settled in the city, investing in property and business. Despite its protected status under the Sindh Heritage Act, the building was illegally demolished from within, leaving only its facade intact under a court-ordered stay. Through the ground floor doorways, the remains of its structure are visible, standing as a reminder of the city's layered past and the vulnerability of its heritage. It was completely demolished in 2025.
