Located on I.I. Chundrigar Road, HBL Plaza serves as the head office of Habib Bank Limited. Designed by American architect Leo A. Daly, it stands among the first Brutalist buildings in Pakistan. Completed in 1971, it was the tallest building in Asia at the time,a title no other South Asian structure has held. It remained Pakistan's tallest building for four decades until surpassed by MCB Tower.
