A beautiful contribution to architecture by the Goan community, Duarte Mansion dates back to 1922 during the gloomy Colonial past of Karachi. Situated in the Saddar area of the city, this building has long served as inspiration for numerous architecture thesis projects focusing on adaptive reuse. Its dilapidated facade remains standing, embellished with dirt, broken windows, and eroded stone. The omnipresence of tangled cables and utility poles further adds to the haunting charm of the site.
